Finally I am beginning to recover and get back to work. Our visit with our AFS daughter from Sardegna and also her husband and two teen sons was beautiful in so many ways. We are so thankful to see them and meet the boys. Many tears were shed upon saying goodbye. I am not used to being this active and so it has taken me longer to get rested than I thought. Now I am working to finish this portrait and begin a very special new one. This one has come along much easier than I thought it would. I don’t yet feel it is complete but I want it to be as good as possible.
There are several other things in the works. I have gotten a patent for an art tool I designed for myself about four years ago. I always have my husband make whatever I need but his shop tools were not refined enough for this project. I knew exactly what I needed but I couldn’t buy it and no one really understood what was explaining. Finally a drafting teacher was able to supply the first prototype. It wasn’t perfect but it was so helpful I decided others should have the option of using this tool. It saves a lot of time, a ton of frustration and has other benefits as well. I am hoping to get it available to the public. As soon as that happens, I will let you all know. Of course, the other time consuming project has been seeking the patent and proposing this to the art supply companies. If you have done this, you will know what I mean. If not, it is not something you can do without persistence . After this, I have several artworks in progress and at least one that I want to do right away. Health challenges for my husband and me are always on the agenda. I have a laser surgery on my eye next week. Also, there is a travel wedding in June. I think this is enough to keep us busy.So, that is all for now. I hope you can enjoy the update on this painting.
