Getting in some work

I do get to the studio for short moments so this painting has taken some steps but I haven’t had time to post. Ever since I learned that our Sardegnia AFS daughter will be here in February with her husband and two teen sons, I Have been concentrating on making the house suitable for guests. I was using the bedrooms for art supply storage. I’m not even upset about all the stuff I have stored because I have visited other artists and they have tons more than me. So, I purged and cleaned a lot and did so much organizing. Now I am making candy and baking and making soup. I have done more than I should and my back is screaming. Yesterday I started in the morning with an ice pack and spent the rest of the day on heat. Last night, I finally got a good sleep. Finally today, after making spiced and also salted pecans and orange candied walnuts, I got to paint!!! I did tell my friend that I am working on this. I had kept it a secret but decided she should know. She lives in an area where this storm is the worst. I know her family will keep her safe. Well, now you know what has kept me from my web site and you might guess that I will probably not get back to you all till the end of February. My class is so dependable and I love them all so it is going to be sad not to see them for a month. Well, I hope you are all creating art and getting great joy as you do. Hugs, Diana
